**DATA GOVERNANCE SPECIALIST**
Are you professional who is experienced in Data Management or Data Quality and looking for a new exciting career opportunity? We currently have a vacancy for a Data Governance Specialist at our site in Farnborough/Preston with hybrid working arrangements.
As a Data Governance Specialist, you will be creating, maintaining and supporting the delivery of enterprise wide data governance artefacts and processes. You will be responsible for identifying/creating process and policies required for improving the quality and management of our data and information assets.
This role will provide you with amazing opportunity for career progression and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders at a senior level.
**Your main responsibilities as a DATA GOVERNANCE SPECIALIST will involve**:
- Creating, monitoring and enhancing data management framework including definition and refinement of processes, standards responsibilities, metrics, reports and controls
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for automation in data sourcing to improve quality of data across the data lifecycle
- Identifying and reviewing process of adoption of data tools
- Developing data standards, requirements, specifications and rules to measure, monitor and report on the quality of data
- Supporting high level exposure of data governance activities across the business and delivering projects in collaboration with project and programme management
- Establishing and operating the process for Data governance issue management and resolutions
- Liaising with stakeholders and external partners to address core data governance approaches and issues
- Providing advice and guidance to support adoption of methods and tools and adherence to policies and standards
- Tailoring processes in line with agreed standards and evaluation of methods and tools, reviews and improves usage
- Contributing to research goals and funding proposals
- Facilitating the development and implementation of data quality standards, master data management practices and adopting requirements across the enterprise
- Defining and monitoring roles and responsibilities related to data governance and accountabilities, aligned to data management activities of the business’ information assets
- Supporting Business and Functional leaders in addressing data governance approaches in pursuit of their objectives; resolve issues escalated from Business and Functional areas data representatives
**Your skills and qualifications**:
- Awareness of (and ideally qualification in) Data Management Association Framework, and the Data Quality Knowledge Area in particular
- Extensive experience in Data Management, Data Quality or equivalent roles
- Knowledge of technical data & data management processes
- Design and implementation process related to data governance oversight
- Knowledge in user experience modelling, information design, and concept generation

**Salary**:£43,000+ dependant on experience
