Finance & Administration Officer

We're delighted to be working exclusively with a primary school in South Tyneside to appoint a permanent Finance and Administration Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a warm and welcoming team in the planning, development and monitoring offinancial support services.
The Finance and Administration Officer will work on a term time only basis (+5 days) to co-ordinate budgets, manage administrative procedures and lead on school procurement.
Finance responsibilities:
- Plan, monitor and evaluate budgets, producing 3 year and 5 year estimated forecasts.
- Prepare and produce end of year finance reports.
- Manage financial administration procedures including the recording of all cash handling activities and the collection of debt associated with these.
- Manage and monitor expenditure within an agreed budget.
- Manage school's private fund account producing monthly return/annual returns.
Administration responsibilities:
- Present information at designated meetings.
- Respond to correspondence as appropriate.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school administrative and finance procedures.
- Manage financial administrative procedures, policies and protocols.
- Co-ordinate the review of whole school policies.
Procurement responsibilities:
- Lead on procurement and seek Best Value.
- Monitor and manage all Service Level Agreements.
