Patient Administrator- Reception

Patient Administrator | Spire Murrayfield | Edinburgh | Full time

We are looking for a Patient Administrator to join our friendly Main Reception team here at Spire Murrayfield. This role will suit someone who would like a challenging and busy role with plenty of variety. Shifts allocated between department opening times of Monday to Friday 7am to 8.30pm, Saturday 7am to 7pm and Sunday 8am to 5pm.

**Duties and responsibilities are but not limited to**:

- Welcoming, registering and directing patients, consultants and hospital teams as required, to the hospital
- Processing in-patient/out-patient charges, including the accurate collection of credit card details
- Booking follow up appointments
- Taking payments for patient invoices
- Managing the hospital switchboard
- Undertaking various clerical duties
- Maintaining confidentiality of all information

**Who we're looking for**:

- Someone who is highly organised and accurate and works well to tight deadlines
- Experience in a similar environment would be beneficial but by no means necessary as full training will be provided
- An excellent communicator
- Experienced in using an in house computer software package
- A team player confident in interacting across a diverse range of people
- Educated to at least Standard Grade or equivalent.
- Initiative, commitment and attention to detail.
