Planner - Delivery Operations

Both behind the scenes within the warehouses and across the front end of the customer experience.
We now have an opportunity for a Planner to join our Logistics Planning team. The role exists to effectively manage and plan all available manpower resources to ensure the successful delivery of Ocado groceries on time and within budget, while ensuring compliance with legal, health and safety, and working time regulations. This is a shift-based role, supporting our 24/7 operation, with regular weekend working required.
**You will be - Skills and responsibilities**:
- Using your planning and organisational skills to manage labour resources, ensuring customer demand is met while maintaining KPI metrics (e.g. surplus, overtime).
- Maintaining accurate time and attendance data, as well as managing roster-related requests (holidays, swaps, overtime).
- Building positive relationships with Logistics Operations and other internal teams to support smooth operational delivery.
- Proactively identifying opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supporting their implementation.
- Communicating effectively with employees, agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely workforce planning.
**About You - Requirements to be considered**:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, management, and internal customers.
- Well organised, with the ability to handle both day-to-day operational duties and ad-hoc tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and G Suite with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- A problem-solver with excellent attention to detail and a proactive, positive approach.
- Previous experience planning transport, warehouse, or retail resources is desirable but not essential.
