**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Prepare and chop ingredients for cooking, including vegetables, meats, and other food items.
- Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for daily specials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in food preparation.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Assist with catering events as needed, providing high-quality food service to guests.
- Participate in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting needs.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in the dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling practices.
- Experience in restaurant or culinary environments is highly desirable.
- Proficient knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.

Pay: £12.21-£12.43 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 50 per week
