The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing systems administration across on-premise, hosted and cloud environments, ensuring maximum availability, performance and security of systems. This position is part of the dedicated IT Solutions team in theUK and provides support across EMEA as required.

Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, administer, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues as required
Participate as directed by the Infrastructure Manager in on call rosters and other arrangements necessary for the delivery of 24/7 services
Meet/Exceed SLAs
Ensure BAU activities are accounted for and kept up to date, including tickets, vulnerabilities, and patching
Report on and be accountable for BAU metric reports
Generate reports /statistics as needed
Follow, maintain and disseminate approved procedures, including adherence to ISO20000 & ISO27001 standards
Take an active interest in the development of the Service Desk function and its contribution to the service as a whole
Participate in and work on project assignments when required
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications/Experience
CompTIA Security +
VMware Certified Professional - vSphere
Citrix Certified Administrator - XenApp/XenDesktop
Excellent IT troubleshooting experience in dealing with a wide range of different processes and systems
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
3rd line support with system architecting experience
Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 including Active Directory/Group Policy administration/ DNS - including replication and multiple site deployments
Amazon Web Services
Microsoft Azure
Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Skype for Business
Microsoft Exchange deployment and administration - Microsoft Exchange 2013
SharePoint administration and maintenance - SharePoint 2013
Basic SQL Server administration/database concepts - MS SQL 2005, 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016
Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop and Citrix NetScalar
Anti-Virus/Endpoint Security - Preferably Sophos
IBM - TSM
Supporting MS Dynamics and/or SAP
PowerShell and VB scripting
ISCSI and Fibre Channel Storage Technologies - EMC SAN/Dell NetApp
Remote support/diagnosis of servers/desktop/users
How you will make a difference
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
ITIL Certified
MCSA Qualified (MCSE would be advantageous)
Understanding of Cloud Platforms (Saas, Iaas) from a service perspective

Experience/knowledge of ISO20000 & ISO27001
Competency/Skill requirements
Highly self-motivated and directed
Able to work without supervision to organise, prioritise, delegate, and complete tasks on an ongoing basis
Networking knowledge - TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, MPLS
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
Strong customer service orientation
Sense of urgency
Commitment to working as a member of a team which responds flexibly to changing pressures and demands
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to meet the needs of a wide range of external and internal service clients and to develop effective working relationships within the company
Fluent in written and spoken English

Travel requirements: UK travel for meetings, conferences, training, data centre activities and incident resolution, as required
Valid UK driving licence
Clearance requirements: The post-holder must hold and maintain UK Government clearances
