Anderson Knight are working in partnership with a reputable client to recruit a keen and experienced administrator to support them in the position of Personnel Assistant. The client is a large, private sector company that values and promotes internal progression therefore the Personnel Assistant position offers a fantastic opportunity for an individual that is looking for career progression. Working alongside a team of Personnel Assistants, Officers and Senior Officers you will play a vital part in supporting the wider team with key tasks to ensure their business functions run smoothly.
The Personnel Assistant position will be based in the clients head office on the outskirts of Glasgow, with train links close by and free onsite parking. The Client operates a 35 hour working week, core hours are 9am-5pm and hybrid working is offered allowing you to spend 2 days per week working from home.
**The Main Responsibilities of the Personnel Assistant are**:
- Ensure all scheduling records are updated and maintained in time for monthly payroll cut-offs
- Maintaining and updating scheduling databases
- Respond to queries in relation to scheduling, personnel and payroll related matters
- Monitor all relevant Personnel development plans
- Monitor all relevant Personnel performance, assessments and appraisals
- Liaise with other relevant departments providing them with the necessary personnel related information
- Ensure all personal data is maintained and updated for employees in the relevant divisions of the business
- Ensure all required documentation and certification is received from new starts prior to them joining the business, and meets the standards in line with the company policies
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as recruitment agencies and clients
- At least 1 years' experience of working in an office administration role
- Excellent organisation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office packages
- High level of attention to detail
**Desirable Criteria for the Personnel Assistant includes**:
- Experience of working in any of the following industries; logistics, transportation, ship management
- A University degree in either HR or Business Studies
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £22,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
