**BACKGROUND TO DGP INTELSIUS**
DGP Intelsius specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of temperature-controlled packaging and regulatory-compliant sample transport solutions.
Our goal is to be recognised as a global leader, providing high quality environmentally safe, temperature-controlled and sample transport solutions to clients worldwide. On a day-to-day basis, our purpose is simple: To assure our customers’ product and sample integrity, with mínimal impact on the environment.
**MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE**:
To support the Supply Chain and Operations department by ensuring goods are despatched as quickly and efficiently as possible.
**RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
1. Booking on pallet and parcel deliveries, both UK and export on the relevant carrier and customer web portals.
2. Ensure accurate information is entered such as address details and weights and dimensions of consignments.
3. Liaise with customers, hauliers, and customs clearing agents.
4. Preparing commercial invoices and packing lists for exports, obtaining correct commodity codes and EORI numbers where required and completing haulier CMR notes.
5. Building works orders, allocating stock and releasing of sales orders to generate delivery documents and invoices.
6. Requesting POD’s, tracking info etc in the event of customers chasing orders.
7. Represent logistics in daily planning meeting and resolve any related queries raised by operations.
8. Investigating damages, making claims to carriers when necessary.
9. Ensure daily logistics administration tasks are carried out.
10. Provide department holiday and absence cover when requested.
11. Carry out other ad-hoc duties as and when required by the department.
**ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE**
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, verbal and written.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures & having attention to detail.
- Computer literate - Experience of Microsoft Office packages.
- Able to work in collaboration with other people internally and externally.
- Have a positive, polite, confident and friendly manner.
- Must be able to accurately follow all company processes and procedures.
**PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE**
- Good general education background with GCSE’s in English and Maths
- Familiarity with SAGE 50 or other order processing software.
- Knowledge of logistics and transport.
- Knowledge of export & import procedures & documentation.
- Experience and confidence with interacting with hauliers & customers by telephone.
- Initiative and desire to improve situations, systems and processes.
- Adaptability & being able to work on own initiative.
**WORKING HOURS**
- 09.00 - 17.30, Monday to Friday
- Some flexibility in total hours or working pattern may be available depending upon individual circumstances & business needs
**Salary**: £22,559.00 per year
