A brand new Software Engineer vacancy has arisen in our fast growing company. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our IT team.
**LOCATION**: Holly Road, Skegness, Lincs, PE25 3AX, with the possibility to work from home for up to 3 days a week
**JOB TITLE**: Software Engineer
**JOB TYPE**: Full Time
**HOURS OF WORK**: Monday to Friday - 9.00am to 5.00pm (with half an hour unpaid lunch break)
**SALARY RANGE**: £28,000 - £32,000pa (dependent on skills and experience)
We are looking for a Software Engineer with a particularly strong front-end web development skillset to complement our software development team. The role itself will be multi-faceted, allowing you the opportunity to work on a variety of programming projectsat all levels of the software development cycle across multiple different platforms, including web and desktop. The willingness to get involved with all aspects of software development is key, including writing new software, but also extending, maintaining,and supporting existing software.
**Job Role & Key Responsibilities**:

- Work with Senior Software Engineer to develop and implement a strategy for developing Micronclean’s web presence
- Effectively plan projects to ensure delivery of value to users in the required time frame
- Work with users to understand their needs and to break those needs down into user stories the software team can implement
- Help to prioritize and schedule features and user stories for implementation by the software team
- Ensure new software is fully system tested before being released to customers
- Effectively execute all stages of the software development lifecycle, including gathering requirements, system design, implementation, testing and release
- Working with Senior Software Engineer to develop and refine the software team’s processes and tooling to support a more efficient and agile way of working
- Help out with software support work when needed
- Test and document software prior to handover and, where appropriate, provide training and support for users
- Produce clear and concise technical documentation, as required
- Support problem solving and continuous improvement activities within the business
**Core Skills**
**Essential**:

- Very strong experience working with HTML 5 and CSS3 to design attractive and professional looking websites
- Strong experience working with C# and JavaScript
- Experience with DevOps principles and agile software development practices
- Experience with relational database design
- Experience with a dialect of SQL (Transact-SQL preferred)
- Experience building successful E-Commerce web sites
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent project management and ownership skills
- Experience developing Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), including related browser APIs like service workers, cache API and web storage API
- Experience developing REST APIs
**Desirable**:

- Experience using jQuery
- Experience using Git
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and some graphic design abilities
- Experience with VB.net
- Experience with developer for mobile platforms, especially Android
