**Sales Support Assistant**

BMS is involved in the acquisition and sale of a full range of printing machines on a worldwide basis. The range of activities undertaken include the overhaul, refurbishment and installation of machines throughout the world. The job holder will work very closely with the company's Managing Director and will play a vital role in determining the success of the sales, service and machine acquisition process.

**Sales Support Assistant reports directly to Managing Director**

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Work alongside the MD to maintain the inventory of printing machines ensuring that they are advertised effectively on the company's website
- This process involves photographing the individual machines and producing an extensive narrative describing the features, advantages and benefits of each machine
- Build an intimate knowledge of the type of printing machines that BMS specialise in and become proficient in articulating the characteristics of the machines to customers who may be interested in acquiring them
- Effective communication with customers and other interested parties both in written and verbal format
- Help to prepare logístical itineraries for the physical movement of machines and people in the most cost effective manner
- Liaise with MD and Business Owner to fully understand the key deliverables of each sales project so as to ensure that key objectives are achieved
- Help to monitor the progress of travel and transportation plans so that remedial action can be taken if time deadlines are coming under pressure
- Build an intimate knowledge of the travel and transportation process using all relevant on-line business links to obtain value for money and efficient delivery and execution of the itinerary
- Preparation of sales invoices and related contractual documentation
- Stock register - help to manage the collation of Stock amending it accurately to reflect all sales and purchases
- Establish meaningful relationships with all key customers
- Understand the individual nature of customers' payment characteristics and fine tune the payment mechanics to suit the individual circumstances

**Sales Support Assistant Skills**
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills comprising MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
- Ability to work under pressure and meet time deadlines
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- High level of attention to detail in relation to documentary matters
- Some previous knowledge of the Printing industry would be advantageous but not essential
- Some previous knowledge of shipping import/exportation logistics would be advantageous but not essential
- A working knowledge of travel and an ability to navigate round the online flight booking system would be advantageous

**Salary**: Up to £30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Performance bonus

- North Berwick, East Lothian: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
