Do you have experience of working within an administrative role? Are you passionate about fundraising and looking to take the next step to develop your career within the events industry with one of the most high-profile UK charities?
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Macmillan Supporter Events Team and support the planning and delivery of our high-value fundraising events.
We are striving to do everything we can to ensure that our workforce is representative of the people we support, and those who support us. We advocate for being an inclusive organisation, where everyone can feel that they belong and where there are no barriers to success.
About the role
You will be key in helping us to deliver our high profile fundraising and stewardship events involving celebrities and high net worth individuals across the UK. Our exciting event portfolio includes the Macmillan Charity Raceday, House of Lords vs House of Commons Tug of war, The Macmillan Ball and our high-value Christmas Carol Concert, plus many others.
Attendance at events and committee meetings is an essential element of the role, involving some out of office hours working.
About you
Keen to work within and make a positive contribution to an energetic team, you will have excellent administration and communication skills. You will have a keen eye for detail and will be able to communicate with our supporters in writing as well as ensuring our supporter data is accurate.
We are looking for someone flexible, hard working, proactive and enthusiastic who is able to adapt to all social settings. You’ll be confident and enthusiastic when speaking with the public as well as liaising with internal teams, so an excellent customer service ethic is a must.
You will need to be immediately effective within the role, so proven organisation, office administration and MS Office skills are a must.
About us
We help millions of people with cancer across the UK live life as fully as they can through physical, emotional and financial support. Our values are at the heart of who we are and everything we do, inspiring our thinking and guiding our actions. Together, we do whatever it takes for people living with cancer; with heart, with strength and with ambition.
Recruitment Process
We aim to encourage a culture where people can be themselves and be valued for their strengths so we seek to attract and employ the best people from the widest talent pool, reflecting the diverse nature of our society.
We want to make our recruitment processes accessible to everyone, so if there is any way that we can support you to be the best you can be, please contact the Macmillan HR Team.
