Carrying out inspections on a daily basis in the communal areas of converted Street Properties.

Proactively and positively liaising with residents and other council teams regarding communal safety

Reporting communal repairs and post inspecting completed works.

Forming concise, accurate and clearly written correspondence in plain English to positively communicate with residents and other council teams and authorised contractors.

Neighbourhood Services are seeking confident and resourceful risk assurance officers to work within a small borough-wide team, inspecting communal space in council-owned street properties

You will already have a good understanding of health and safety and fire safety legislation and are able to demonstrate putting this knowledge into sound practice.

You are able to summarise information clearly and quickly for your own correspondence or in order to provide others with data. You are proactive in dealing with issues to resolution.

You can demonstrate good liaison with a wide range of council departments and residents from a diverse and multicultural community by always providing excellent customer service.

Undertaking a programme of inspections and audits related to safety and maintenance within the common parts of our street properties.

To ensure that services and maintenance techniques are performed in accordance with best practice and procedure.

The post holder will carry out inspections in accordance to actions raised by our fire safety risk assessments and will be responsible for obtaining access to all common parts of our street properties.

Responsible for following up on all repairs and improvements raised as part of the council’s FRA programme.
