**About the role**
We are recruiting 5 Funding Administrators within the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Talent Team, who will support the delivery of UKRI Talent programmes, including the Future Leaders Fellowships scheme and the new UKRI Interdisciplinary Responsive Mode Pilot.
The Future Leaders Fellowship scheme is an interdisciplinary fellowship supporting early career researchers and innovators. The Interdisciplinary Responsive Mode Pilot is a new scheme designed to support interdisciplinary ideas emerging from the research community outside current disciplinary boundaries, and outside of the remit of existing UKRI responsive mode schemes.
**Key responsibilities**
- Identifying and managing conflicts in peer review
- Collaborating closely with staff across UKRI to ensure the smooth running of operations
- Collating papers and attending funding meetings
- Managing information and records, ensuring that documents are filed accurately and updated as necessary
- Carrying out other administrative duties that may be required across the UKRI Talent teams
**Person requirements**:
**Education / Qualifications / Training required**:
Essential:
- English and Maths GCSE at grade C or above, or equivalent
**Knowledge and experience**
Essential:
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a hybrid workplace
- Effective communication skills, able to adapt style to liaise with people at all levels
- Ability to deliver within tight timescales and prioritise efficiently across multiple areas
- Able to work independently, taking initiative and proactively managing own time
- Good attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to follow detailed guidance
- Flexible and adaptable to changing work needs, including updated systems and procedures
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, Word
Desirable:
- Previous administrative experience
- Experience of working with external stakeholders
**Additional information**:
You will be based primarily in Swindon (hybrid working options available) but may be required to attend meetings/events in other UK locations.
