**Third Party Fraud Claims Handler**

**Location:Haywards Heath, Manchester, or Chelmsford**

**Salary : £25,000-£29,000 (_depending on experience_)**

**Hours : Monday-Friday 9am-5pm**

**Hybrid working:1 day's office based, 4 days remote**

**Overview**:
The key purpose of this role is to handle an allocation of bodily injury claims that have been identified as requiring further validation checks. The requirement for further investigation may be linked to no objective evidence of any injury having been sustainedor due to the injury claim being presented late into the life cycle.

The allocation will also include claims which have been recently returned the Counter Fraud Team, where they have been unable to prove any fraud to ensure the claims are being handled diligently due to previous concerns.

This will involve making proactive investigations with third party representatives, claimants, and policyholders. Analysing medical evidence, reports, and records alongside characteristics of the claim and deciding on the best strategy for the claim to bringit to an economic conclusion. Third party liability and property damage aspects of the claim will also be handled.

**Responsibilities**:

- Handle daily new claim allocations within 24-hour service level agreements alongside best practice guidelines.
- Handle claims within the key objectives of scrutinizing injuries for objective evidence and choosing the right claims to repudiate and defend
- Liaising with our panel solicitors for advice and claimant's representative background checks.
- Answer inbound calls from customers, brokers and third-party representatives in a professional manner dealing with queries, complaints and providing updates on claims.
- Maintain post and diary reviews
- Review and amend any audit reviews from our Quality Control team.
- Additional administrational duties as required
- To adhere to Company processes regarding FCA compliance and Treating Customers Fairly.
- To ensure that DPA, FCA & TCF and other regulatory requirements are met.
- A flexible approach to work management, required in a fast-paced environment.

**Requirements**:

- Strong Personal Injury handling experience including use of OIC portal.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workloads
- Willingness to develop self and new skills
- Ability to work with flexibility in a proactive claim's environment
- Good market knowledge
