**Purpose of the role**:
**Who you’ll deal with**:
**Internal**: All departmental GMs and their teams, commercial and support functions

**External**: Other UK sites to share improvement initiatives

**Scope**: All UK units

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Develop and maintain strong working relationships across all stakeholder groups and functions
- Develop the strategic platform and repository for effective management and governance of continuous improvement projects so that knowledge can be shared throughout all regions
- Work closely with the Operations Team to identify, drive and deliver operational efficiency within the contractual and regulatory environment within which we operate
- Monitor activities to ensure they deliver the financial outcomes forecast at time of instigation
- Develop through coaching and mentoring the workforce’s knowledge and understanding of lean techniques and principles, in so doing developing a unit culture of Continuous Improvement
- Put together a road map for and deliver an Operational Excellence Package that the unit can be measured against to record improvement progress and standardisation
- To drive all processes to First Time Quality
- Working closely with the SMT to identify business opportunities and routes to fulfilment
- Active participant in daily and Unit SMT meetings
- Hands on approach to problem solving and working on the shop floor

**What you’ll have**:

- A strong background in lean / process improvement ideology
- Demonstrable experience of managing change within a catering / airline or similar business environment with high volume complexity, high quality and quick turnround / throughput
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, listening and presentation)
- A good understanding of the implications of SLAs and Regulatory systems on a business such as FS, HS, CCPs, etc
- Experience of presenting to Senior Management / Board Members
- Attention to detail and the ability to influence positive change in all aspects of your role
