Liberton Medical Group are looking for a part time Receptionist/Administrator to provide a welcoming reception service in person and on the telephone.

We are looking for a team player who is conscientious, flexible, with excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills. You should have outstanding organisational skills, as well as plenty of initiative, enthusiasm, be self-motivated and able to work efficiently as part of the Administration team.

You will be expected to work in a fast paced environment providing excellent patient care. You should have the ability to prioritise your work, with a good understanding of current computer systems being essential and an excellent telephone manner.

Previous experience in Primary Care preferred but not essential if you possess the relevant skills and have an active interest in working in a public facing role within a healthcare environment.

Duties will include:

- Responding efficiently to patient’s enquiries, assessing the degree of urgency of the patient’s requests.
- Communicating with patients, other services, and members of staff, directing and prioritising queries as appropriate, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of service.
- Answering the practice telephones, actively listening to patient’s issues or medical problems, and signposting them appropriately according to practice policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative support within the Primary Care Team.
