**Working hours: Full time**

**Salary: National Living Wage prior to qualifying**

**Experience level: No previous experience required**

**Driving License is essential for this role.**

**Role summary**
As a trainee Hearcare Clinical Assistant in Specsavers Hearcare, your role will be to deliver excellent customer service and to be a valuable part of a successful retail team. You’ll deal directly with customers, while supporting the Hearcare Director. It’s important that you work hard to understand what customers want and give them an outstanding service.

Some of the key tasks are as follows
- Explore customer needs thoroughly, and approach customers to offer assistance
- Provide customers with information on how to wear and care for hearing aids
- Provide customers with hearing aid aftercare information
- Perform hearcare screening tests
- Make adjustments to hearing aids
- Customers who are disabled or have special needs are served sensitively and provided with the same level and standard of service as nondisabled customers
- Operate the till effectively
- Work to Specsavers Customer Service Standards
- Actively seek to improve your own skills and product knowledge

We’re looking for someone who wants to build a career as a Hearcare Clinical Assistant so we’ll put you onto our Hearcare Assistant course. This will enable you to:

- Perform otoscopic examination to BSA procedure
- Take aural impressions to BSA Procedure
- First fit hearing aids (with Real Ear Measurements)
- Take initial case histories
- Carry out rehabilitation and fine tuning appointments
- Perform Pure Tone Audiometry to BSA procedure (without masking)
- Recognise the need for masking and refer to HAD for further testing

**We’re always keen to progress our Hearcare Clinical Assistants to be Hearing Aid Dispensers so for the right person, this role could be your first step to a long and successful career in Audiology
