**Key responsibilities and accountabilities for the Head of Marketing**

Strategic responsibility for the Division’s marketing performance - including hiring, developing and effectively leading a team of five marketers responsible for creating and executing innovative marketing plans.

Working in close collaboration with the Marketing Director and Managing Director to reach divisional growth targets, this role has as its focus to:

- Develop and regularly communicate the Division’s marketing vision, goals and results
- Prepare and present the overall marketing strategy for the Division
- Effectively implement development plans for each team member including quarterly development meetings
- Identify key talent and develop as per their personal goals
- Execute one marketing test per month and share
- Assist with execution of marketing plans if the need arises
- Share team successes and innovation
- Ensure the marketing department are maximising their use of marketing systems to drive efficiencies and results
- Measure overall key marketing indicators and report to the group weekly e.g. marketing performance, innovations, inquiry conversion, along with recommendations for improving marketing profitability
- Meet regularly with other department heads to ensure marketing is effectively working with other office functions e.g. production, sales, SPEX, customer service; to achieve organisational goals
- Proactively identify competitor strategy shifts as well as new marketing methodologies

**Desired skills and Experience**

Ideally, we are also looking for:

- 5+ years marketing experience, ideally gained within conferences, events, exhibitions
- 2+ management experience, with proven ability to coach and motivate staff effectively
- Bachelor level education or equivalent - ideally within marketing or communications
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Excellent written skills and keen high for detail
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Self-driven, results-oriented, with a positive outlook

**Training & Development**

To enable you to achieve your potential, extensive on-going training will be provided throughout your tenure. Regardless of your position everyone is provided with an initial 3-month induction and training plan followed by advanced development.

Pay: £55,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
