The role of Community Engagement Office within Govan Together for Childhood is a unique opportunity to use the core principle of community development in a team made up of multiple disciplines and their potential of working together to keep children safe. This place-based approach uses innovative and an evidence base to support communities, professionals and families to build strong networks for all children. Abuse and neglect is preventable and Together for Childhood's role in Govan is to evidence how this can be achieved and to share this learning as far and as detailed as is feasible. We are reaching the mid-way point of our 10 year plan and now is the critical time to focus most on those outcomes that will deliver improved outcomes for children.
