We have a rare and exciting opportunity to join AXA Insurance as Head of Claims Supply Chain. You'll be leading a team of highly skilled and dynamic Supply Chain professionals, supporting the delivery of the AXA insurance business strategy through critical and sustainable supplier partnerships. Your focus will be in the Motor, Legal and Travel categories, seeking ideas and opportunities to support strategic business thinking and delivery. It's a critical role leading a supply chain that is solution focused and is able to balance customer delivery with commerciality and quality.

Working closely with Claims operations, AXA Group and the external supply market to define, develop and implement a supply strategy delivering targeted procurement value and leading-edge processes and innovations. At AXA we’re adopting a Hybrid way of working, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. For this role, there will be a requirement to travel to either our Birmigham, Ipswich, Bolton or Haverhill office on an adhoc basis.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Lead and develop a team of Supplier Management & Procurement experts, with responsibility for the full procurement cycle, sourcing contracting and performance management.
- Deliver a strategic supply chain that supports claims operational & customer requirements, including the realisation of agreed cost control / savings targets.
- Work in collaboration with Group Insurance Procurement (IP) and be responsible for setting the UK Claims Motor & Lifestyle strategy for IP and delivering against the plans and targets.
- Deliver a compliant Supply Chain that manages all activity in line with AXA policies and regulatory requirements.
- Build strong and mutually benefiting relationships with key internal and external partners, to deliver solutions suitable for today & tomorrow
- Provide strategic insight on market developments and how these change/help our propositions.

**Qualifications**:

- MCIPS or relevant experience. Relevant Procurement, Insurance or Business Professional qualification.
- You'll have expert influencing and negotiation skills, able to effecitlvely manage complex change within large organisations.
- Knowledge of the UK General Insurance Market, legislative environment and case law. Able to analyse contractual formation and liaise with internal and external lawyers.
- In depth knowledge of claims assessment and reserving, claims process philosophy and the claims supply chain.
- Understanding of Claims and General Insurance MI with a strong understanding of statistical analysis.
- Ability to work with different functional and interest groups facilitating shared participation.
- Proven leadership ability, experience of working with Senior Management and Executives.
- Proven evidence of delivery of savings on a year on year basis.
- Excellent strategic vision of innovative supply chain solutions.
