Time Appointments are actively working on behalf of a fantastic opportunity for one of our top clients who are currently looking to add a Supply Chain Assistant on a part time basis to their Supply Chain Department. This is a great opportunity to work withina real forward-thinking business who really value their employees.

Working within the Supply Chain team, the successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with raising purchase orders with foreign suppliers, ensuring paperwork, payments and shipping schedules are processed as required.

**Order Management**
- Working with the Purchasing Administrator and the nominated freight forwarder you ensure stock/shipping and purchase order records are maintained up to date and the tracking system is updated with all required information.
- Follow up any missing data with suppliers to ensure goods arrive on time
- Ensure shipping documents are sent to agents in a timely manner and issuing instructions for clearance and delivery from port to container destination.
- Liaise with suppliers in relation to the administration and processing of purchase orders
- Update and maintain internal system with delivery dates
- Complete reports as required for the Supply Chain supervisor
- Create PO’s as requested by the Supply Chain supervisor

**Payments and Product Cost Management**
- Process proforma invoices for payment and raise LC or T/T payment requests
- Check invoices
- Check & collate shipping documentation
- Complete cost calculations
- Update and maintain system cost data
- Update and maintain the currency tracker

**Skills & Knowledge Required**:

- Excellent administration skills
- A good understanding of numeracy
- An eye for detail
- Data entry
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office 365 suite including Excel
- An understanding of the planning, forecasting, or purchasing process would be advantageous but is not essential
