Assist in the smooth running of the Practice.
Greet patients at the reception desk, answer queries courteously.
Attend phone calls and taking appropriate actions like booking appointments, answering queries.
Be professional and present a friendly image to visitors.
Be willing to learn and abide by rules and regulations.
Be a good team player.
Be well versed with Confidentiality and Data protection regulations.
Previous experience working in a GP Surgery and experience on Vision / Emis systems desirable but not essential.
Flexibility to cover for colleagues sickness absence and annual leaves.
Ensure working place is kept neat and tidy.
Be respectful to more experienced and senior staff.
Respect beliefs of patients, carers and colleagues.
Effectively manage work load. Contribute to the success of the team in offering excellent service to patients.
Register patients, do scanning of documents, read code medical terms, notes summarising, taking part in audits are part of the job. But training will be given if needed. Good computer skills are essential.
Effective communication, Time keeping, Loyalty are essential.
Take part in annual appraisal.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 37.5 per week
**Salary**: £8.00-£9.00 per hour

- GCSE or equivalent (required)
**Experience**:
- Medical Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
Willingness to travel:
- 25% (preferred)
