**Team Overview**:
Preqin’s marketing organisation is seeking Head of Marketing Automation to join their Marketing Technology and Operations team. The team supports the global marketing organisation with marketing automation, digital advertising, activation, enablement, and analytics.
**Role Overview**:
The Head of Marketing Automation will be a key member of the team and will report into Head of Marketing Technology and Operations. This role will be instrumental in enabling the rest of the marketing organisation with the automation capabilities
The Head of Marketing Automation will own the marketing technology stack and work closely with various marketing, sales, product, and data teams. With a strong understanding of marketing technology and best practices, you will help turn business requirements into reality, so all teams have the technology and insights they need to continuously improve customer acquisition and customer experience.
**Responsibilities**:
**_Marketing technology_**:
- Own Preqin’s marketing automation technology stack and make recommendations to ensure we continue to find new /improved ways to engage with customers and maximise business results.
- Be the expert in marketing automation and serve as a consultant to the rest of the business.
- Manage and deliver the marketing technology stack to help support our marketing and customer acquisition teams, including day to day operations and troubleshooting.
- Work across various marketing disciplines (Demand generation, Content marketing, Regional marketing) to implement modern technology, tools and integrations.
- Work closely with the Engineering, IT and InfoSec teams to ensure Preqin maintains a compliant and secure marketing technologies ecosystem.
**_ Marketing processes and workflows_**:
- Develop standardised processes and programs that allow other team members to self-serve in the creation of automated marketing programs.
- Review best practice processes and workflows for marketing automation to ensure we operate as efficiently as possible and can scale at rapid pace.
- Own and manage the auto-qualification and lead/opportunity/account scoring infrastructure.

Campaign automation & operations_**:
- Help and advice various marketing teams across Preqin on the best approach to structure, build and implement always on automated campaigns.
- Train and upskill the marketing team, develop governance and use best practice methods to ensure successful delivery of multi-channel automated always on campaigns.
- Responsible for and manage QA for all automated engagement campaigns and journeys
**_ Marketing data_**:
- Be the guardian of marketing data and ensure it is accurate and adheres to relevant data and privacy regulation.
- Work with data privacy and legal teams to ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant data and privacy regulations.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in marketing automation and wider digital marketing role in B2B businesses.
- Salesforce Pardot certification or other marketing automation platform certification is a must.
- Knowledge of the MarTech landscape and the ability to bring innovative approaches to communications
- Previous hands-on experience in setting up automated campaigns in Pardot or similar marketing automation platforms.
- Ability to set up sophisticated automated journeys in customer engagement platforms (e.g., Braze, Drift, Intercom) Experience with Intercom would be ideal.
- Proven experience identifying opportunities to improve efficiency though process automations.
- Strong understanding of marketing processes including campaign automation and lead qualification.
- Successfully selected, implemented, integrated, and deployed an automation platform.
- Knowledge of GDPR, PECR and other relevant data and privacy regulations.
- Expertise in translating complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Ability to pivot quickly and make fast decisions based on changing needs in a high growth environment.
- Strategic mindset that can see beyond the day-to-day to help the business achieve long-term marketing goals
- Comfortable with working to tight deadlines and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks across multiple projects.
