Bristol, United Kingdom Newmedica Full time

**HR Administrator**

**Who Are We?**

At **Newmedica**, we believe better sight changes lives.

We’re one of England’s top providers of NHS and Private ophthalmology services, delivering outpatient care, diagnostic testing, and advanced eye surgery to thousands of patients every year. With a growing network of specialist clinics across the UK, we’re on a mission to make world-class eye care more accessible for everyone — and we’re expanding rapidly.

We’re proud to be officially certified as a **Great Place to Work®**, based on independent feedback from our colleagues. This recognition reflects our commitment to creating an inclusive, collaborative, and empowering workplace where people can thrive.

**Your Next Role: HR Administrator**

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone early in their HR career to join our friendly Bristol team. As our HR Administrator, you’ll be right at the heart of our people operations — making sure our HR service and wider business run smoothly every day. You’ll support everything from recruitment to onboarding, payroll, communications, and events.

You won’t be just a cog in a big HR machine — you’ll be part of a close-knit 2-person HR team, working side by side with your HR Advisor to deliver an exceptional experience for our people. No two days will be the same, and you’ll gain hands-on experience that sets you up for your future HR career.

This role will be based at our Aztec West clinic, but may occasionally require travel to our other local sites in Clifton and Langford when needed. Once you’re established in the role, we may consider a hybrid working pattern, with up to one day per week working from home.

We are ideally looking for someone to join us full time (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, but we’re open to discussing reduced hours, provided you can cover 5 days a week.

**What You'll Do**
- Be the first point of contact for general HR queries and maintain accurate employee records
- Support recruitment campaigns, arranging interviews and onboarding new starters
- Help run payroll processes and keep our HR systems (BambooHR) up to date
- Assist with employee lifecycle admin, including absence, training, appraisals, and compliance
- Get involved in engagement activities, wellbeing events, and internal comms
- Work closely with the HR Advisor and wider team to contribute ideas and improvements

**What We’re Looking For**

We’re after someone who’s not only organised and efficient but also passionate about people and service. Ideally, you’ll bring:

- Great attention to detail and confident communication skills
- A discreet, approachable nature with the ability to handle confidential information
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (HRIS experience, like BambooHR, is a plus)
- A can-do attitude — you’ll be a supportive team player with lots of initiative

**What You’ll Get in Return**

We know that great people make a great company, so we offer a comprehensive and supportive package, including:

- **Competitive Salary**: £26,200 - £27,000 (Dependant on experience)
- **25 days holiday** + bank holidays (increasing with service)

This is more than just a job — it’s a chance to grow your career in a forward-thinking, patient-first organisation that values your voice and invests in your future. If you’re ready to make a real difference and help transform eye care across the UK, we’d love to hear from you.
