Our client, an industry leading FMCG outfit, are currently searching for a Head of Facilities to join their team in Elton on a permanent basis
Main Purpose of Role
As Head of Facilities, lead the development and implementation of the Elton site facilities strategy to complement the site operations and future growth plans. The plans will be dependent on the continued development of the facilities team and collaborationwith operational teams.
A metric of the facilities service is to ensure the Elton site is a safe place to work, secure, well presented and meets all legislative requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure the site is secure, well presented and all services are available/operational at all times
- Develop and implement facility plans to support site growth and site expansion projects
- Lead and develop the Facilities team, driving improved standards and a continuous improvement culture
- Ensure all activities are completed safely to agreed standards and procedures
- Support the environmental development of the site
- Oversee processes to ensure the Elton site satisfies all legislative, Customs and Excise and accreditation requirements
- Manage the Facilities budgets and contracts
- Establish a proven supplier base to support emergencies, contracted out site work and projects
- Support Elton site development projects, collaborating with the operational teams to agree the scope of support and adapting services as required
- Maintain a strong relationship with Elton village and residents, supporting projects to maintain the local image
- Work with local businesses as necessary to maintain the site and local area infrastructure
- Report performance of the Facilities operation
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Business Knowledge
- Experienced in the delivery of facilities services for a large industrial site
- Familiar with environmental and legislative requirements for manufacturing and logistics
- Proven record working with Senior Leadership teams
- Experienced in managing diverse teams
- Experience of working in a food environment, BRC/ISO/HACCP is an advantage
- Experienced in operating a secure site and adherence to AEO requirements
