**About Us**:We are in the process of establishing a new children's home in Chippenham, dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people. As we prepare for the home's launch, we are seeking a Responsible Individual to play a pivotal role in overseeing its operations and ensuring its success.

**Role Overview**:As the Responsible Individual, your primary responsibility will be to provide oversight, guidance, and mentorship for the registered manager of the children's home. You will also engage in regular check-ins with the directors to ensure compliance with regulations and the highest standard of care.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Mentoring and Support**: Provide guidance and mentorship to the registered manager, helping them navigate the challenges of running a children's home.

**Weekly Check-Ins**: Conduct weekly check-ins with the directors and registered manager to discuss progress, address concerns, and make strategic decisions.

**Supervisions**: Conduct supervisions for all senior staff members, offering support, feedback, and ensuring they meet regulatory requirements.

**Management Duties**: Assist in the overall management of the children's home, ensuring it operates smoothly and complies with all relevant regulations.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Experience in a leadership or responsible role within children's residential care, or a similar setting.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and relevant regulations.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
- Dedication to creating a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people.
