**Role Description**:

- Provides full support to trading activity conducted by GBAM Front Office desks
- Responsible for trade capture & validation, adhering to the necessary regulatory framework.
- Advising FO of position adjustments and/or discrepancies.
- Tracks and verifies trades and checks accuracy of processed trades.
- Performs a liaison function between originators, traders, stakeholders and support partners
- Incumbents have a thorough understanding of the firms activities and their assigned product area.
- Provides general team guidance & coaching, will provide input on recruiting and be part of performance management process.
- Provides analyses when required by the desk.
- Monitor and process time sensitive requests relating to trade bookings, settlement issues and/or downstream feeds
- Resolve Risk and P&L issues - Work closely with Front Office, Risk and P&L to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Resolving client issues - working with sales and client management teams
- Cooperate with trading, sales, COO teams and often other LOB partners to enable the business
- Build and maintain relationships across senior business leads and support partners
- Involvement in various initiatives across both the business and Operations

**The Team**:
The Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) & Derivative Core Operations (FDCO) team perform end to end trade control, confirmation and settlements processes across FICC businesses and provides utility OTC derivative confirmation and settlement services for non FICC businesses.
Within FDCO, the teams provide multiple services such as FICC trade control, Foreign Exchange (FX) electronic matching and settlement, Over the Counter (OTC) derivative confirmation and settlement, and commodities operations.

**Job Description**:
We seek an experienced Trading Assistant to cover all activities of the EMEA FICC Trading desks.
Primarily responsible for supporting the desk with all trading activities with additional focus on regulatory obligations, product enablement and ad-hoc problem solving across a broad range of FICC products and markets

**Key skills**:

- Experience of working with Fixed Income products, preferably from a Trading Support or other
- Front Office facing role
- Working knowledge of current regulatory landscape (SFTR, MIFID2, CSDR)
- Inquisitive and analytical mindset
- Ability to prioritise multiple demands
- Must be able to operate successfully in a fast paced and pressured environment
- Excellent Operational Risk awareness & understanding of the importance of robust internal controls
- Technology literate - competent user of MS Excel, Bloomberg and standard industry platforms
- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills. Communicates and partners well with others to accomplish goals.
- Ability to work diligently and independently, drive to ensure necessary work is completed to a high standard
- Understanding of the importance of robust internal control
- Trading floor experience
