**Your role at Orbit.**
Orbit are looking to recruit a Procurement Assurance Officer into our business assurance procurement team. You will be responsible for supporting with activities and team members on the development and implementation of our new D365 system, providing support to the organisation with respect to Purchase Ordering, Invoice Queries, Item Set Up, Contract Set Up, Supplier Set Up and be the lead liaison between IT and Finance. You will lead on the creation of the Procurement Helpdesk function and be responsible for the main reporting function.
Your key duties will be to:
- Efficiently manage various systems including supplier set up, supplier assurance, e-procurement and P2P and ERP processes
- Become an expert user of D365 and lead on training and development within the team
- Carry out Purchase Orderings as required
- Ensure Categories and Coding are correct, ensuring the wider team are aware of any changes or modifications
- Ensure that we are compliant with Group Standing Orders and Public Contracts Regulations 2015
- Provide Procurement Management Reporting Information to the leadership team
- Provide first time fix for the majority of technical procurement enquiries
- Create strong relationships with internal contacts
- Proactively design ways to improve systems
- Develop and build on knowledge and skills through appropriate mix of learning activities
- Support with general procurement tasks
**What will help you make a difference.**
To be successful in this role of Procurement Assurance Officer you will need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team or under your own initiative. You will also need to have a strong working knowledge of P2P processes and good working knowledge of Governance and Financial Controls.
It is also essential that you have/are:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- Good knowledge of business processes
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Good user-level knowledge of MS Office programmes
It would also be beneficial if you are working towards MCIPS or Finance/Business Administration Degree.
