Overview:
**Duties**:
1. To assist the Engineers/sales/market development personnel in developing provisional budgets for the purpose of gaining new projects. To provide as accurate as possible estimates for the provision of goods and services in the development of new projects.

2. To liaise closely with the Engineers to ensure that the required goods/services to be provided are in accordance with the design and the project programme.

3. To ensure that, where relevant, goods and services are procured to meet the client’s specification and are in accordance with appropriate technical and safety standards.

4. To ensure that procurement is executed in accordance with Organics Integrated ISO 9001/14001 Integrated Manual and supplementary procedures.

5. Upon sourcing potential suppliers of goods or services to negotiate with those suppliers to achieve the best “value for money”. Check that the procurement is within the project’s budget, and make recommendations to engineers/project managers? to proceed with the procurement. Where the procurement is more expensive than budget or there are quality or programme issues, to bring the issues to the attention of the engineers/project managers and where possible provide solutions.

6. Regularly contact each supplier to seek confirmation that the supply of goods or service is progressing satisfactorily and report progress to the Project Manager.

7. To determine the best arrangements for the insurance and shipping of goods and to recommend those arrangements to the Engineering Manager.

8. To be aware of potential issues which may affect the procurement such as currency, suppliers’ financial difficulties etc.

9. Maintain a network of suppliers of goods and services and continues to seek future potential suppliers.

10. Review the reports from the project managers at the end of each project to determine whether improvements in future procurement can be achieved. In addition, upon completion of a Project prepare a report on the success or otherwise of each suppliers performance for the Projects Manger and Engineering Manager.:

**Qualifications**:

- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience with digital procurement systems
- Experience with engineering
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes

These qualifications are essential for success in the role of Procurement Officer.

**Salary**: £18,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
