Despatch Supervisor

**Overall Purpose of The Role**:
We’re looking for a proactive Dispatch Supervisor to lead our dispatch operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You’ll ensure all finished goods are accurately picked, checked, and dispatched on time, while maintaining high standards of food safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee daily dispatch and loading activities to meet customer delivery schedules.
- Lead and motivate the dispatch team to achieve performance, quality, and safety targets.
- Ensure all loads, paperwork, and temperature controls meet food safety and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with BRC, HACCP, and company hygiene standards.
- Liaise with production, transport, and customer service teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Support audits, investigate dispatch errors, and drive continuous improvement in logistics processes.

**About You**
- Experience in a supervisory or team leader role within dispatch, warehouse, or logistics — ideally in food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Confident using warehouse systems and Microsoft Office.
- A hands-on leader who can motivate a team and maintain high operational standards.
**Qualifications**
- Food Safety and Health & Safety certification (Level 2 or above) preferred.
- Forklift licence and/or ILM (or equivalent) leadership training desirable.
