**ROLE**:

- Responsible for providing supervision to the Despatch team to achieve targets set by the departmental Manager
- Responsible for supervising the team performance
- Responsible for ensuring all people are fully trained to do the job and the appropriate staffing levels are in place to be able to run an efficient shift
- Ensure strict deadlines are met by all of the team in production whilst complying with customer specifications, meat quality standards and quality protocols and procedures
- Responsible for ensuring you and your team meet all hygiene standards and health and safety requirements and take appropriate action as required
- Responsible for communicating and taking appropriate actions to ensure all KPI and business targets are achieved
- Responsible for stock rotation
- Liaising with relevant personnel and customers to ensure plans are accurate and achievable while ensuring all efficiencies are maintained
- Responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of production and take the lead in production on this
- To ensure the integrity of our products, customers and brands is always maintained, as suitable to the role and defined in relevant procedures

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Educated to at least A Level or equivalent with at least 2 years supervisory or line leader experience gained from within a manufacturing environment
- A third level qualification in a relevant discipline would be desirable
- Experience of and willingness to supervise and develop the teams effectively, whilst ensuring training is a key focus of the department
- Hands on approach to solving problems
- Experience at suggesting change initiatives and getting results
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and reporting skills
- Sound practical knowledge of a production environment and H&S and Quality requirements
- IT literate
- Ability to prepare detailed information accurately and work to strict deadlines
- Ability to be highly flexible with regards working hours
