We are looking for a **Field Service Engineer** to provide on-going technical support to our customers following installation of new and current equipment, as well as supporting with troubleshooting and repairs throughout the life cycle of the equipment, both from a mechanical and technical perspective.

As a **Field Service Engineer,** you will report into our Livingston site, and will be required to visit customers across the UK and Ireland, with some international travel. You can be based anywhere in the UK

Aspects of the **Field Service Engineer** role include understanding and managing the impact on service budgets, conduct service calls in line with established agreements, follow up on actions required stemming from a plant visit or telephone call. It is important that as a **Field Service Engineer** you provide clear and efficient communication around delays, deviations and any mechanical and/or electrical issues to the customer and the management team. You are expected to present adequate advice and support, as well as making suggestions and recommendations for improvements or the necessary modifications for maintaining the equipment.

Once trained to a competent level you will be required to work independently, using your own initiative with minimum direct supervision. From here you will be involved in training customer technical support staff, as required, on operation, sanitation and maintenance of best practices.

There is a requirement to be available to work a certain number of weekends a year.

The ideal experience for our **Field Service Engineer** would be
- HND or equivalent apprenticeship in a related technical discipline, combining electrical and mechanical certifications
- Experience of maintaining factory production equipment or transferable skills
- Working knowledge of PLC systems
- A bonus would be mechanical freezer operations, ammonia refrigeration systems and good manufacturing practices.
