Job Title: Finance Manager

**Salary**: £45,000 - £48,000 per annum
- Location: Welwyn Garden City
Contract: 6 - 12 month fixed term contract
Hours: Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm (Hybrid working available)
COMPANY PROFILE

Our client based in Welwyn Garden City are looking for a Finance Manager on a 6-12 month contract. This is a vital role within the business.

You will have previous experience and be able to hit the ground running in order smooth running of the Finance Department

The purpose of the role will be to produce accurate financial reports and supporting the financial operations within the business. You will also be involved in ad hoc projects when required.

SKILLS REQUIRED
- Previous experience within a Financial Controller or Manager role
- A high level of mathematical ability
- Good technical accounting knowledge
- Experience with developing and improving management reporting
- Knowledge of VAT accounting and regulations
- Proficient in Excel at a high level
- Excellent communicator verbally and written
- Knowledge of SAGE line 200 or similar
- Ability to work well in a team

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operation of financial/ internal controls
- Ensure monthly payroll is processed accurately
- VAT and return preparation
- Fixed asset register maintenance
- Investment portfolio tracking and journal preparation
- Balance sheet control including approval for reconciliations
- Maintain the purchase order system
- Confirm new and updated supplier bank details
- Provide ad hoc financial and non-financial reporting
