We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance and Administration Assistant to join our Student Services directorate, here at the University of Huddersfield. It is an exciting time to join Student Services, as we continue to grow in the range of services, support, information, advice, and guidance we offer to our diverse community of students. This is a fast-paced, service, which requires individuals who put customers at the heart of everything they do.
Your role will involve providing flexible and responsive administration support in Student Services, working with the Business Support Manager. You will handle finance-related duties such as purchasing, sales invoicing, and liaising with suppliers. Additionally, you will support management of Student Services facilities, including room bookings and coordination with university colleagues. Meeting administration, including servicing committees and producing agendas and minutes, will also be part of your responsibilities.
Educated to GCSE level and with an IT qualification or demonstrative experience, you should be an organised, experienced, and motivated administration professional capable of managing a varied and complex workload. As a great team player, you will develop effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels and adapt to changing circumstances. Your previous experience will include business support or customer service roles, preferably with financial administration.
