**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a passionate individual with expertise in finance to join our Board as a volunteer non-executive member. As a Board member, you will help shape our strategic direction and ensure robust governance to deliver our vision.

**Finance Specialist Role - Qualifications and Experience**
- Qualification as an Accountant with senior financial management experience, **or** experience in finance with a funding-awarding body, **or** senior experience in finance, audit, risk, or fiduciary oversight.
- Strong understanding of financial governance requirements.
- Familiarity with grant-based funding models and donor reporting.
- Experience navigating financial risk.
- Experience of representing an organisation.
- Experience in developing strategies and/or policies.
- Passion for the benefits of physical activity and ideally an active user of Edinburgh Leisure’s venues or services.

**Key Details**
- The position is voluntary, requiring attendance at a minimum of 4 Board meetings per year (each 2-3 hours), plus committee meetings and occasional additional activities (approximately 4 hours per month).
- Previous Board experience is not essential; governance training will be provided.
- You will play a crucial role in guiding Edinburgh Leisure’s strategic direction.
