This varied and busy role will form part of the SCAPVC Professional Services team, providing effective administrative support for undergraduate and postgraduate courses, staff, and students.

Launched in August 2019, SCAPVC combines the Centre for Cultural Policy Studies with Theatre and Performance Studies, the Warwick Writing Programme, and History of Art. Offering a wide range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate taught and research degrees, the School will be relocating to the new Faculty of Arts building for the 2021/22 academic year.

**JOB PURPOSE**

To provide effective administrative support for undergraduate and postgraduate courses and postgraduate research students. To enhance the student teaching and learning experience. To contribute to the work of the School Professional Services team ensuring effective support for the undergraduate and postgraduate student lifecycle.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Admissions**
- Provide administrative support for UG and PG admissions and key recruitment activities such as open days and other events.
- Provide accurate advice and information to prospective students, liaising with Admissions Tutors and SROAS where appropriate.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of the School’s academic portfolio of courses and postgraduate research opportunities in order to accurately represent and positively promote these to prospective students.
- Assist the Admissions Tutors and Senior Departmental Administrator in the collection and monitoring of admissions data and the compilation of information to support the marketing of courses.

**Course Administration**:

- Provide advice and information for current students about all aspects of the student lifecycle.
- Assist with the maintenance of student records and other student information on University systems.
- Assist with the compilation and dissemination of relevant documentation for new and existing students for the start of the next academic year, including handbooks and web-based information (for example module reading lists), taking a proactive approach to updating information and ensuring changes are made in a timely fashion.
- Assist with the recording of monitoring points and communicating with students who have been absent, liaising with Directors of Studies and other key academic staff.
- Provide administrative and clerical support for Student-Staff Liaison Committees.
- Provide administrative and clerical support for key quality assurance processes.
- Work with colleagues within the School and the wider University to support the effective and efficient support of the student experience.

**Assessment and Exam Management**
- Assist the Senior Departmental Administrator and Departmental Administrator with all the administration and support for course assessment including coursework submission, examinations and exam boards and their associated processes and systems.

**Pastoral Support**
- Assist with the administration of the allocation of personal tutors to students working closely with Directors of Studies, discipline academic colleagues and students.
- In the absence of more senior staff, provide support to students for minor issues and signpost students to the appropriate support network, within the Department or wider University services as required.

**General Administration**
- To contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the School Office (distribution of post, allocation of keys, filing, etc.) and to provide reciprocal support to other areas of the School's administration activities.
- Duties may be changed from time to time, as determined by the Senior Departmental Administrator and Departmental Administrator.
- You may be asked to work occasional weekends and evenings to support recruitment and other events.
