**About the role**:
Working at our catering production unit at our Glasgow unit, you will be responsible for carrying out practical, productive, and electrical/mechanical work to Company requirements, within the capability/skill level/qualification to carry out maintenance work safely and to the required standards. You will also be responsible for maintenance on site and basic Health and safety compliance requirements. This role reports into the unit General Manager and indirectly to the Maintenance/Facilities Manager UK&I
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Must possess practical, productive, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical engineering skills, be able to complete maintenance work to the quality standard expected by the Company and the meet legal standards.
- Must have adequate technical supervisory knowledge and be able to supervise others
- Following plans and instructions supplied by the Company/Client
- Perform other relevant duties as and when required
- Accurately record hours and materials used
- When required act as the Company’s appointed person on site
- Act as an ambassador for the Company always, raising its profile within the marketplace
- Comply with all Company and Health and Safety requirements.
- Carry out:
- Lamps and Bulb changes
- Changing of electrical equipment and fittings.
- Changing of mechanical equipment and parts.
- Changing of plumbing equipment and parts.
- General maintenance duties
- General gardening control
- Daily/Weekly PPM checks/testing
- Weekly emergency light testing
- Weekly Fire alarm testing
**Qualifications and Experience**:
**Work Experience**:
- Must have 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Practical experience of at least one trade skill
- Good communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to work under pressure and unsupervised
- Able to prioritise workload
- Must have fault finding knowledge and experience
- Must be flexible and a team player
- Handyman experience and knowledge
- IPAF certification or willing to complete the course
- Must hold a valid card in a relevant qualification
- Must have IT skills
