Purchasing Executive

Due to continued growth, we are looking to hire a Purchasing Executive to join our Procurement Department This is a full time, office-based position, working Monday to Friday from our Global Headquarters in Hassocks, West Sussex.

**Purchasing Executive Function**:
The Purchasing Team are responsible for the sourcing and selection of suitable, cost effective and reliable suppliers of aircraft components and business services, able to meet the business requirements.

Specialised onsite training to get up to scratch with the industry standards.

The Purchasing Executive role will support business inventory requirements, internal and external customers with responsibilities associated with both tactical and strategic purchasing of aircraft components and business services

Working with Avtrade’s vendor base worldwide ensuring quality is in line with business objectives & policy, on time delivery and contract adherence whilst mínimalising costs. All functions to focus on stock availability, reducing costs and customer satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Purchase inventory for stock and specific customer requirements
- Recommend, evaluate and performance manage suppliers to quality and industry approved standards
- Assist with training of new and existing staff, help support and develop the Purchasing Administration team
- Obtain warranty return approvals and liase with internal departments on rejected units
- Maintain optimum inventory levels to support Avtrade business and ensure stock is maximised to full potential.

**Requirement**
- Purchasing; 12 months + experience required
- Knowledge of aircraft components with awareness of component conditions, certification and airworthiness regulations, not essential but preferred
- Proactive, self-motivated and driven to succeed in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, verbal and written, with a good telephone manner and the ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines
- Good computer literacy, highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with some experience with Nav, Quantum and web based Aircraft parts databases highly advantageous

Pay: £27,208.00-£32,936.00 per year
