**Job Summary**:
We are looking for individuals with a get go attitude to join our baking team. Individuals must be highly enthusiastic, personable, possess strong and proven customer service skills and be willing to go the extra mile. If you enjoy working within a buzzing and unique environment, baking and learning new skills, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you to embark on. The role includes everything from charming our lovely customers, through to getting stuck in with daily cleaning tasks, weighing out ingredients and washing up.
The role is hugely diverse. As part of our event you will be customer facing while assisting with the daily running and upkeep of the event - overall acting as an all round hero to our business and customers. So if you love interacting with people, the hustle and bustle of hospitality and being part of creating delicious baked goods at a truly unique location then keep reading.
Hospitality Assistant Duties:
Hospitality Assistants must be flexible in their working hours and be available to work evenings and weekends. They must also be willing to travel to other venue locations when required. (Which may be required for the opening of future sites)
The role will involve shift work Monday through till Sunday.
- Assisting the Head Baker with day to day kitchen duties such as weighing out ingredients and making decorations
- Maintain high levels of customer service and positive attitude
- To help with daily cleaning, washing up and shift changeovers
- To maintain a high standard of presentation throughout the event
- To meet and greet customers and keep a happy buzz throughout the shift
- To talk to customers and give them tips throughout the sessions
- Be creative
- To be able to keep up energy and positive atmosphere in busy shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and Close the event under Head Bakers direction
- Help manage inventory and stock control
- Follow all food and hygiene food and safety regulations
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and presentation standards across the event
- Manage the arrival of customers
- Greeting customers and hosting them throughout the event
- Time management of the event and shift changeover
- Helping to host up to 40 customers in a friendly and fun manner, representing our brand brilliantly
- Pre-preparing customers ingredients at the start of the day
- Regularly providing event feedback to business owners
- Assisting with the management of booking and arrival systems
- Maintaining a clean and beautiful looking environment
- Responsible for daily cleaning tasks such as washing up and cleaning surfaces and floors
- The willingness to stand in for other staff at short notice in case of illness etc.
Qualifications/requirements for applying/maintaining the role include:
- Available to work 2 or more shifts a week
- Great attention to detail and creativity
- Confidence in speaking with customers on a day to day basis
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience
- Enthusiasm and willingness to go above and beyond
**Salary**
£9.85 per hour

Working conditions:
You will be working at Birmingham’s highest rated event. The role will require shift work Monday to Sunday. You will need to be comfortable working with large groups of customers. You must be willing to travel to other venue locations in the UK if required (advance notice will be given).
Physical Requirements:
The nature of the role is hospitality based, with periods of carrying ingredients and utensils to customers, welcoming and greeting customers across the venue. Opening hours are between 7am and 11pm and shifts will occur within, and occasionally outside of these times.
