Senior UX Strategist

We're looking for a Principal UX Strategist to join our growing experience design team of 25+ to help us transition to true agile squads where design thinking is fully adopted and valued by everyone within the organisation. You will oversee and facilitatedesign work across 7+ connected squads to create and deliver customer-centric products, backlogs and research roadmaps for some of our most prominent digital products.

You'll be part of the wider experience design team which covers User Research, UX Design, UI Design & Content Design.

This is a key design leadership role within the team that will help us drive ambition of becoming the most customer centric healthcare company in the world. It's a role that has a really strong purpose and an opportunity to transform a leading healthcarecompany into a digital, customer centric one.

**About you**:
You are an expert design thinking practitioner, who can show examples of how you have implemented frameworks that enable teams to follow the full design thinking process, through research and inspiration, ideation and implementation.

You can show how you've applied this within an agile framework, and assure all the squads within your reach follow this process, using customer centric metrics to measure product success.

You can also show how you've influenced product strategy and priorities, build relationships, and effectively collaborate with colleagues and senior teams. You're either a lead UX strategist or design portfolio manager or similar, who is great at aligningUX strategy and design quality output across several teams.

**About the Role**:
As a Principal UX Strategist, you will oversee design work across 7+ connected squads to create and deliver customer-centric products, backlogs and research roadmaps for some of our most prominent digital products. You'll be expected to ensure that teamstake a user-centred, evidence-based approach to design and delivery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Developing the experience design team and assure design thinking is applied across multiple squads.
- You will be a leading voice in our communities of practice to help an organisation continually assure, improve and innovate their design disciplines.
- You will actively mentor other designers and be an inspiration for others in design.
- Facilitating the design teams to create great products, together, in a highly collaborative way, discouraging ego and hierarchy.
- Ensuring that roadmaps are aligned and there is no duplication of effort
- Synthesising and analysing customer data from many sources to identify strategic opportunities
- Aligning user insights with business objectives
- Connecting UX strategy to business results, measuring, reporting, and improving impact.
- Maintaining strong relationships throughout the full delivery phase of the projects, ensuring successful launch of high quality customer centric products.
- Getting buy-in for utilising the UX strategy across different teams.
- Breaking down silos and turning stakeholders into customer champions.
- Influencing across the business units to remove roadblocks & increase the effectiveness
- Raising the bar for all UX team members through mentoring, coaching, and training on UX research & strategy inside and outside the team.
- Working with the stakeholders to develop sprint plans that show the design thinking methods you'll follow for initiatives.
