The Newt in Somerset is a luxury country estate with hotels, a visitor attraction and a fine quality food & drinks brand, offering fresh produce including, fruit and vegetables, dairy, meat, bakery products, cyder and apple juice from our estate in Somerset.

**Our London Bakery**

Our London Bakery is a new exciting start up in an established bakery to cater for a fast growing London e-commerce business and to support with volumes for The Newt in Somerset as and when required. We will focus on amazing quality bakery and pastry products and sometimes the more niche to the market we are targeting. We are always developing new products so that we can offer variety to our customers so you will get the chance to show your talent and passion for amazing baking

As this a new venture in London, you will get the opportunity to use your experience to help mould the future of the London Bakery

**Our Bakery Assistant**

We are looking for a team member with experience to join our bakery team. You’ll be supporting our Head Baker and team in the daily preparations of doughs, pastries, baking and packing products

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To support our current baking team
- To maintain the company’s vision and ethos.
- To prepare, develop and maintain high quality products.
- To ensure all products are delivered and packaged on time.
- To ensure Health and Safety and Food Safety legislation are adhered to; this will involve appropriate training.
- To ensure that you are correctly dressed, adhere to high personal hygiene standards.

**Skills and Experience**
- Experience in baking
- Passionate about baking and food in general;
- Must be highly organized with attention to detail;
- Great attitude and willingness to learn and progress;
- Calm and efficient in a busy environment;
