Support Worker

IMMEDIATE START - PART TIME AND FULL TIME HOURS AVAILABLE,

Client lives in Taunton - TA1 1**, Driving NOT essential

**Weekly OR Monthly Pay**
- £15 per hour Day shifts: 11am to 6pm, flexible start time
- £80 per Sleep in nights: 9pm to 7am
- Every other weekend

MUST BE ABLE TO FULFILL ALL OF THE ABOVE HOURS REQUIRED ON A ROLLING ROTA

**Service user background**:
The service user requires support during the day. She is highly independent, lives in her own home and does her own personal care and housechores. She communicates well and has good vocabulary, it is helpful to present information in simple phrases. The client has a learning disability, Autism and can become anxious.

The role includes, but is not restricted to:

- To support with meeting activities associated to living within own home, sleep in at night and accessing the community
- Support and guidance with daily activities
- Provide emotional support and help to build relationships
- Making the client feel comfortable and cared for in their home
- Companionship, accompanying for appointments or social engagements
- Light domestic chores
- Completing daily records
- Supervision
- Communicating with families.
- Be able to build relationships with patients
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic and able to be a good team player
- Have the sensitivity and energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating and varied lifestyle for the patients
- A genuine desire to make a real difference in people’s lives
- Respect the service users' dignity and choice, understanding of the principles of hygiene, healthcare and health & safety
- Flexible and the ability to handle stressful situations
- Able to work to a high standard
- Have a good level of both spoken and written English, effective communication skills
- Willing to commit to training
- Able to work independently, be reliable
- Be eligible to work in the UK
- Must undergo DBS (criminal record) check
- Have good references
- Driving License (Essential)

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
