An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Neurology and Rheumatology department for a fixed term, full time Performance Coordinator/Validator.

Attention to detail is a must for this role and the ability to work under pressure and deal with tight and moving deadlines in a calm manner is essential.

The post holder will have responsibility for ensuring that patients who are on a 18 week Referral to Treatment pathway are reporting correctly on Trust performance reports, and if data is reporting incorrectly that it is rectified to improve the patient journey. The post holder will provide leadership and guidance on RTT principles, and manage the validation workload.
The post holder will have a key role and will need to exercise initiative, independent judgement and decision making to ensure an effective and high quality service is delivered.
The post holder will ensure that the data on the system is clean at all times and that training initiatives are implemented to ensure that the number of pathways needing validation are minimised.

Working Conditions / Effort

**The post holder**:

- Works under constant pressure and within a frequently changing environment, whilst trying to deliver government and Trust targets.
- Works with constant interruptions dealing with daily operational issues.
- Must concentrate for long periods of time to ensure attention to detail.
- Is required to analyse waiting list schedules on a daily basis involving long periods at a VDU
