The role
As a Senior Verification and Validation Engineer, you will support our work on the Patria 6×6 armoured personnel carrier vehicle programme, following our agreement to be Patria's UK build partner. This is a high-profile opportunity to join a major defence programme, contributing to the delivery of a proven, NATO-backed platform for the British Army. You'll be at the forefront of innovation in defence engineering, leading the planning and execution of vehicle trials across diverse and challenging environments. Your work will directly contribute to the safety, performance, and reliability of cutting-edge systems, making a real impact on national security and global stability.

Day-to-day you'll be:

  • Developing detailed verification and validation plans, procedures, and strategies
  • Coordinating with internal engineering teams, external stakeholders, and customer representatives
  • Capturing and analysing verification data to support compliance and design assurance
  • Producing clear and concise technical reports for verification and validation activities
  • Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions for verification discrepancies

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Senior Verification and Validation Engineer:

  • Significant experience in verification and validation within defence/automotive sectors.
  • Strong understanding of V&V planning, data capture, and analysis techniques
  • Proven ability to manage complex V&V campaigns across the engineering lifecycle
  • Skilled in coordinating with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Experience in producing technical documentation and compliance reports

Qualifications for the Senior Verification and Validation Engineer:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Systems, or related Engineering discipline
  • Additional qualifications in systems engineering, verification methodologies, or data analysis are advantageous

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
