We are seeking an experienced Staff Validation Engineer to join our client's growing engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in the development and validation of a variety of products, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure new products meet the highest performance and reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in new product design meetings, driving test feature development and influencing design for testability
  • Assist in the design and development of validation solutions, including software, hardware, and documentation, for new products
  • Identify and select bench-top test equipment required for validation activities
  • Develop automated test software using Python or LabVIEW
  • Collaborate with design, product, test, and applications engineers throughout the development lifecycle
  • Participate in validation review meetings, presenting test plans, progress, and results
  • Create comprehensive validation reports and documentation of findings
  • Conduct hands-on testing of high-speed optical components, integrated circuits, and modules

About You

  • Degree-qualified in Electronics, Physics, or a related engineering discipline
  • Proven experience in product validation, ideally within optical, semiconductor, or high-speed electronics environments
  • Proficiency in Python or LabVIEW for automation and data acquisition
  • Strong understanding of electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, network analysers, BERTs, optical power meters)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset
