An opportunity has arisen for a **Head of Products** to join the Commercial department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. The purpose of the role is to lead a team of Product Managers and Specialists to drive product strategy and product planning across the organisation, supporting each of the individual business units. Embed product-thinking into the organisation.

**Job role**:
Drive product-thinking across the entire business; supporting the development of leaders and teams who understand and can thread the commercial thinking needed through development and delivery of product and services.
- Oversee the organisational product plan strategy and the individual product plans as developed by the product team for existing and future products within the BUs. Working in close collaboration with Business Development, Product Marketing and Engineering teams.
- Lead the Product Managers and Product Specialists team - support the Managing Directors of business units with the right fit for their business
- Effectively manage the matrix; vertical business needs whilst driving consistency across
- Establish the operating rhythm around product planning and execution that pulls the organisation together to reflect and track progress with plans.
- Clearly demonstrate how the product plans support the business, and BU strategies.
- Develop the business cases with the product team and drive critical thinking around capital allocation prioritisation to support the near and long term growth from product sales
- Partner with vertical leaders to ensure all commercial models are considered and go to market approach in order to set product marketing up for success
- Facilitation/delivery of commercial workshops/interventions to lead the organisation in adoption of methodologies tools and techniques in product planning and innovation
- Challenge the thinking around commercial positioning to ensure all angles are considered
- Supporting delivery of strategy to make sure people have the right skills sets around commercial models, go to market strategies
- Identify the gaps in commercial product development understanding across technical, functional, operational teams and work with the leaders to build required capabilities, understanding and confidence
- Building and nurturing a culture of innovation so the pipeline builds

**You’ll have**:

- Commercial product leadership experience working across various elements of the process: strategy, business casing, positioning, operations, partnerships and performance
- Demonstrates experience driving complex commercial business models and strategies to support product portfolio development
- Experienced at leading and growing teams
- Awareness of macro trends impacting the decarbonisation landscape
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to draw insights from intelligence and data
- Expert communicator at all layers of an organisation
