Being a senior manager within Digital will include managing the delivery and release management team, leading them in meeting the high standards expected of you and of them.

**What you will be doing**
- Develop your team to a standard where they are fully competent in tactically managing their respective areas with little or no intervention from you.
- Drive the areas of the IT strategy that relate to delivery management specifically in the areas of greater integration and information exchange with the wider IT functions and greater delivery efficiency through tooling.
- Influence the IT strategy in the areas of delivery.
- Manage the relationships with Digital's most senior commercial, operational and technical stakeholders on all thing’s delivery.
- Look 6-36 months ahead for emerging trends in the delivery sphere and running your own agreed backlog of initiatives cascaded and delivered through your teams’ supervision.
- Be a primary influencer within Digital, shaping culture, demonstrating the expected work ethic and radiating energy.
- Own and manage the delivery of digital initiatives across Premier Inn & Restaurants.
- Work with the Digital Leadership Team to set the direction, then implement and support the transition to DevOps
- Deliver business value through sound software engineering DevOps methodologies and principles
- Ensure teams are well structured and resourced to respond to and resolve incidents and problems in a timely manner with the people and skills to deliver effectively and respond as the business backlog and operational landscape changes
- Build and maintain a structure which can support multi programme activities, which are interrelated and dependent upon each other to deliver a larger vision or objective that would not be achieved simply by delivering the projects individually
- Drive the use of Dev Operations practices within the delivery teams whilst creating the additional governance/management process and procedures as necessary.
- Work with the engineering function to develop DevOps Engineers, providing clear and constructive feedback and creating opportunities for learning and growth
- Be accountable for ensuring your teams are actioning the Service Delivery backlog including live Defects and Issues ownership and loop back into the Delivery lifecycle.
- Shape and improvement of the Digital delivery lifecycle, using a mixture of Agile and Waterfall approaches as necessary ensuring we iterate based on learning and reflection regularly
- Work with other senior staff to promote effective cross-functional delivery
- Be accountable for ensuring the Operational quality, safety and efficiency of the Digital Product, including defect triage, performance monitoring and overall health.

**What we are looking for**
- A highly experienced Delivery Manager
- Experience leading teams to deliver digital projects in B2C and B2B environments
- Prior experience with several development/delivery methodologies Scale Agile teams/Scrum/Kanban/Lean/DevOps
- Experienced in complete ownership of the delivery plan, providing reporting to overall programme plans
- Proven experience in managing both on/off shore teams, both permanent and 3rd party partners
- A strong understanding of digital technologies track record within digital delivery
- Excellent leadership and management experience with proven experience of building and developing teams including technical, projects and change teams
- Have a good grounding in traditional Project Management governance practices
- Passionate about digital products
- Be a natural servant leader - good experience of coaching and developing others
