We are looking for an Senior Health & Safety Advisor to work within our Health & Safety Team based at Coventry.

Main Responsibilities:

- To provide accurate and timely Health and Safety advice or information to colleagues in the MTC at all levels.
- To partner with the MTC in implementing, maintaining and improving its Health and Safety arrangements.
- To help build and deliver the framework necessary to manage Health and Safety as effectively as possible.
- To support management in investigating Health and Safety matters, ensuring all learning is extracted and implemented.
- To audit the MTC against the requirements of ISO 45001:2018 and support management in developing explicit action plans to address non-conformities.
- To develop and deliver corporate initiatives that address the internal and external Health and Safety risk landscape.
- To identify and cost the requirements for Health and Safety training across the enterprise in support of the aims of this role.
- To dedicate a proportion of the role to change management - innovating the MTC’s internal H&S arrangements, realising ‘shop-floor’ suggestions and bringing an external perspective on best practice.

With strong experience in a health and safety role, you will have strong knowledge of relevant legislation and will demonstrate a thorough understanding of ISO 45001:2018 and how is applies within the context of a Health and Safety Management System. You will be accustomed to completing detailed risk assessments and investigating accidents and incidents. You will hold a NEBOSH qualification and will be a competent Lead Auditor for ISO 45001:2018. You'll be able to influence those around you to develop their H&S knowledge and ensure that all individuals understand the importance of following regulations and legislation.
