Maternity transformation at LNWH
The post holder is a key member of the Maternity Service at LNWUH. They will lead on embedding the principles of Continuous Improvement (CI), patient safety and clinical effectiveness into practice across our maternity service. In particular, they will support engagement and training on continuous improvement, empowering staff across the service, provide support to co-production with patients and local communities, lead priority improvement projects, and coordinate the Maternity transformation programme including progress of the maternity strategy. The post holder will lead and actively seek opportunities for innovative improvement projects and work with key stakeholders within maternity to promote the uptake and delivery of such projects.
The post holder will be required to support the roll out of improvement capability across the maternity service and to facilitate the integration of these methods into everyday practice, to provide excellent care as standard.
The role supports the business in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning, and service.
The role is linked to the wider trust Transformation team to support coordination with interdependencies outside maternity, sharing good practice, and access to specialist resources within the team to support the improvements being led within maternity.
You must have proven experience in leading and delivering several improvement projects simultaneously. The postholder will be expected to provide, training and coaching for maternity staff and our stakeholders. You will assist in leading the development and implementation of improvement methodologies to be adopted across the maternity service.
You must have an engaging personality, a belief in the need to continuously improve and the methods to enable this. You will be responsible for overseeing improvement programmes and projects which impact significant investment across our maternity service, working with women or birthing people, communities, and staff to develop pilot projects. Offering targeted support to enable delivery of programmes, harnessing the triple aim of quality, experience and value at their core. You will work across all staff groups, and seniority collaboratively, using an inclusive approach to individuals and teams around specific local initiatives.
