This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Data & Analytics team as a **Data Insights Manager**. Based from Basingstoke, you'll combine office and home working to ensure a positive work / life balance.

**The Role**

Managing a team of experienced data and insight analysts, you'll work with all areas of the business and champion the possibilities of data analytics. You'll lead on complex areas of data analytics, supporting the business to solve problems by using theright datasets, analytical and predictive techniques to answer the questions and drive business change. Through this senior role, you'll play an important part in supporting critical business decisions.

Responsibilities include:

- Working closely with analysts and stakeholders across the business, to ensure Sovereign uses its data assets to its maximum benefit, you'll lead the team in identifying and scoping projects, clarifying the business benefits
- Creating analysis standards, you'll ensure that work undertaken is documented, of high-quality, consistent and actionable
- Managing the team and sharing your highly technical expertise, being hands on where needed to create solutions and taking overall responsibility for the delivery of your team's quality service
- Accountability for an efficient and flexible GIS platform, maintaining a current and secure GIS environment both internally and externally. This includes working with the GIS Manager to promote the future strategic vision for GIS in Sovereign and advocatingthe use of our federated ArcGIS Enterprise system
- Responsibility for ensuring that your team and the wider business analysts are well versed in how to use the software and tools at their disposal, identifying appropriate training programmes to ensure Sovereign are maximising value from its investment inpeople and technology

**What we're looking for**

Having an appetite for telling the story behind the data, you should have previous experience in a similar management role within data insights, along with demonstrable technical expertise in data and insights.

You'll also need:

- Advanced knowledge of reporting and analysis software tools such as PowerBI, R, Python
- Excellent understanding of database design, table joins, views and functions
- Detailed knowledge of statistical techniques and research methodologies
- Ability to design intuitive self-service analysis dashboards
- Experience of relevant CIO tools (e.g. M365, DevOps) and methodologies (e.g. Agile, TOGAF, ITIL)
- Good communication skills with an ability to convey complex technology concepts to the business and IT stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience in leading and coaching a high performing team
